STEAM PROPULSION PLANT OPERATIONS

 

Aims:

 

The majority of steam turbine propelled vessels are liquid natural gas (LNG) carriers.  These vessels are at present in the minority, relative to the world fleet. However, indications forecast a significantly large increase in these types of vessels.

This training course will help understanding the process and phenomena that took place inside a steam turbine; steam system function and components, operating the steam propulsion system (Steam Engine Room Simulator).
